In Russian university rankings, Moscow State University always occupies an exceptional first place. He is also in all international rankings, but his positions are not so high. How much does training cost?

Since Moscow State University is prestigious educational institution, the competition here is very large and increases from year to year. Enrolling on a budget is the dream of any applicant, but not everyone can count on such places; there are few of them at the university, so students are forced to enroll on a contract in order to receive a quality education.

Tuition fees at Moscow State University in 2017-2018 academic year depends on the chosen faculty and specialty. Tuition prices are rising every year; not long ago, the rector of the university, Academician Sadovnichy, named the minimum amount for students. In an interview Russian newspaper the rector said that the minimum tuition fee in the current academic year will be 310,000 rubles for full-time training. Evening students will have to pay less, for them the minimum will be 195,000 rubles per year.

The exact cost may still change. It directly depends on how much the government will allocate for training state employees.

According to independent calculations, for the entire period of study at Moscow State University. Lomonosov master's students will have to shell out about 2 million rubles on average.

Cost of studying at different faculties

Every year, the deans of each faculty at Moscow State University publish information on study prices for applicants. This information is very important, since enrolling day department It is extremely difficult for some faculties today; for this you need not only to pass the Unified State Exam perfectly, but also to be a winner of at least citywide Olympiads. For budget place The passing score at the university should be from 241 to 455, depending on the faculty and specialty

The most high cost studying at Moscow State University. Lomonosov in 2017-2018 will be at the leading faculties: economics, law, faculty international relations, as well as the Faculty of Journalism, foreign languages and translation. The cost of studying at MSU for a bachelor's degree in 2017-2018 does not differ from the cost of training for a specialist. A second higher education at a university is always paid, but it will cost less - on average, the amount per year will be 220,000 rubles. It is worth noting that almost all graduate studies at Moscow State University are also paid.

We invite you to find out interesting facts about how one of the most popular universities in Russia was created by watching a video with documentary footage:

In the fall, the country's main university, Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, will open its doors both for school graduates and for those who wish to go to graduate school. However, today an applicant can receive all the information about specialties, tuition costs and opportunities that the first Alma Mater in Russia will provide him. So what is MSU ready to offer in 2018-2019?

What does it mean to enter Moscow State University: facts

The level of training at the university continues to improve. Yes, for last year the institution was able to strengthen its own position and even rise in some international rankings - for example, QS World University Rankings, compiled by leading experts from the British company Quacquarelli Symonds.

Here the university was able to get 18th place in the subject area " Natural sciences"(versus 40th place in 2017), 51st place in the field of "Art and humanities"(previously - only 70th line), 60th place in the field " Social Sciences and management" (ranked 110 in 2017). The direction called “Engineering and Technology” also showed growth. Significant development in this area allowed MSU to rise from 115th to 76th position.

None other educational institution The Russian Federation was unable to enter the top hundred of this ranking and compete with foreign institutes and universities - Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and others. It is the prospects and prestige of MSU faculties that will largely influence the final cost of education in 2018-2019. According to rector V.A. Sadovnichy, university education will become more expensive again.

How much does it cost

Young people who have graduated from schools or colleges and want to be enrolled at Moscow State University in 2018-2019 need to find out about the current cost of education specifically for a bachelor’s or specialist’s degree - the first and initial stages higher education. They last for 4 and 5 years respectively.

This is important! The figures indicated in the table, although approximate, can still be considered by both parents and children as real auxiliary guidelines. They were determined on the basis of last year’s amounts, statistical data from the Central admissions committee and recent statements by the university leadership.

Evening studies at Moscow State University faculties always turn out to be about 1/3 cheaper than daytime ones. For the 2018-2019 year, the university provides similar master's programs on-site and part-time forms. In terms of cost, they are no different from bachelor’s and specialty degrees, with the exception of the following areas:

  1. “Economics” (will cost a master’s student 370,000, not 420,000 rubles) and “management” (380,000 rubles for an annual program).
  2. “Jurisprudence” (380,000 and 295,000 rubles for training in the afternoon or evening, respectively).
  3. "Management" of the faculty " High school business" (425,000 rubles).
  4. "Innovatika" (325,000 rubles).

How many places are there in MSU dormitories? A student involuntarily asks himself this question, looking at the hundreds of windows on the facade of the Main building. The same question arises when critically understanding the rhetoric of the rector’s office: “We can’t accommodate people, there are no places!” We counted the number of rooms in the main dormitories of Moscow State University and took into account sanitary standards for their correct occupancy.

Student House (Main Building)

Thanks to the tender for the provision of Internet services in the GZ dormitory, a technical specification was published on the official website of Moscow State University containing information on the number of rooms in the GZ, provided by the UO:

GZ floor places in the block number of blocks places on the floor places in the sector
sector B floor 2 2 46 92 2332
floors 3-18 2 732 1464
4 170 680

sector F floor 1 2 21 42 556
floors 2-4 2 87 174
floors 5-9 2 170 340
total places in the civil reserve 6954

Some comments on these data are necessary. The difference between the symmetrical sectors “B” and “C” is probably due to the occupation of part of the premises by the Administration of Dormitories and other services, where the Internet has either already been installed or is simply not needed. The difference in the number of places in sector “E” and other side sectors can be explained by the location of the branch of clinic 202 in this sector. 3rd floor is described local residents as the “rector’s”, the 5th floor is occupied by a dispensary, the 6th by a hotel for seconded teachers, which also takes away a certain part from the number of residential places.

The rooms in the towers of sectors "B" and "C" are counted as triple rooms, although measurements of the area show that they are suitable for only two students. Therefore, from the amount declared in the tender, it is worth subtracting 64 (4 towers * 4 floors * 4 rooms * 1 “extra” resident), and we get 6890 residential places in the Main Building. It is noteworthy that in 2011 the rectorate presented a scheme ( http://igmsu.org/513), which talks about 6,500 residents of the State Zone. Considering the difference of 100 places between sectors “B” and “C”, we conclude that about 500 public health places have been converted for purposes not related to student accommodation.

Branch of the student's house (FDS)

In this complex there are 5 buildings, on each floor - rooms with numbers 1..44, while two rooms each occupy two washrooms, one each - two toilets and two kitchens. A total of 36 living rooms on 4 floors, of which two are of smaller size on each floor. On the ground floor, some of them are equipped for other needs (linen exchanger, “isolator”, television hall, commandant, 2 rooms are occupied by two showers, 2 more - a rocking chair, several more rooms - reading room). Let's estimate the first floor to have 20 living rooms. Then the building has 4*36+20 = 164 rooms.

According to several independent measurements of room areas carried out by our participants, the area of a room in the FDS varies between 16.2-17.4 sq.m. Taking into account sanitary standards, no more than two people can live in such rooms. Head of the Educational Institution A.A. Vodolazsky, however, confidently reports an area of 18 sq.m. The standard occupancy density at FDS is 3 people per room, but they like to pack freshmen into 4 at once. Interestingly, the official website of Moscow State University admits a violation of sanitary standards, stating: “3-4 people are accommodated in rooms. The actual area per inhabitant of a triple room is about 4 sq.m.” ( www.msu.ru/depts/host/fds.html , archive: http://archive.is/vcBoW ).

So, you can be sure of one thing for sure: four people are prohibited in FDS rooms. Depending on your desire, round up the area of the room to 18 sq.m. the number of FDS residents will vary from 1640 (5 buildings * 164 rooms * 2 residents) to 2460 (5 buildings * 164 rooms * 3 residents). In 2011, the rectorate estimated the same number at 2,300 people.

Total - 3570 places in DAS.

The question remains to what extent the announced number of residents complies with sanitary standards. So, if we download the terms of reference for the tender for the renovation of a number of rooms in DAS (), we will find that among the rooms on the 2nd floor of the 1st building there are several rooms with an area of about 30 sq.m., 12 sq.m. (both slightly smaller and slightly larger), 15.1 sq.m. Among the rooms on the 3rd floor we also find rooms with an area of almost 20 sq.m. Most likely, a violation of sanitary standards does occur in DAS, however, due to the lack of current data directly from residents, we will consider the figure 3570 final for now.

Student's House on Vernadskogo (DSV)

21 residential floors (stylobate part - administrative). There are two types of rooms: “two-room apartments” and “three-room apartments”; their area varies, but several measurements indicate that their areas fluctuate between 10.5 and 17.1 square meters. accordingly - that is, according to the standards, 1 person should live in a “kopeck piece”, 2 people should live in a “three-room apartment”. According to the evacuation plans and the data of the residents, there are 22 “kopeck piece” and 25 “three-ruble” apartments on the floor (a couple of blocks on each floor are reserved for the kitchen , gym, computer class, etc., we do not take them into account), so 119 people actually live on the floor, and according to sanitary standards there should be 72.

Total: 21*72 = 1512 places in DSV(Actually about 2500 people live there).

Student's House on Kravchenko (DSK)

According to the scanty data found on the forumlocal, the hostel has 15 floors (not counting the administrative first). Each block has two rooms: “kopeck piece” (12 sq.m.) + “three-room apartment” (18 sq.m.). According to reviews from residents, the standards in the DSK are observed. Only married couples in which both spouses are from Moscow State University are accommodated in the DSK dormitory, so we will assume that 2 Moscow State University students live in each room (regardless of the presence of a child). There are approximately 16 blocks on each floor (this follows from the number of windows on the facade of the building: 7 large and three half on one side, 8 large and 1 half on the other, one of which obviously belongs to the kitchen). The assessment is confirmed by information from the official website of Moscow State University about “251 residential blocks.”
Total: there are about 15*16*(2+3) = 1200 places in the DSK.

Student house in Yasenevo (DSYA)

2 entrances of 16 floors, on each floor there are 4 apartments (two 2-room apartments for 5 people and two three-room apartments for 7 people). It would not be amiss to mention that in this dormitory all students live in accordance with sanitary standards: probably, the Administration of Dormitories is well aware that law students are savvy in issues such as sanitary standards. The first floor is occupied by commandants and other bureaucracy, so 2* 15* 24 = 720.

RESULTS

In total, there are about 15.5 thousand places available for all MSU dormitories (please note that this assessment made taking into account compliance with sanitary standards in the FDS and DSV!). The number of places we calculated is greater than the number indicated on the Moscow State University website in the “Dorms” section - 15 thousand “students, graduate students, students of the preparatory department and advanced training courses” who need a dormitory. But, despite this, residents of the FDS and DSV live in condensed conditions (i.e. in violation of sanitary standards). The question arises: who took the empty seats, displacing the students? That is why one of our demands is the creation of an open settlement map. After the eviction of all service personnel from the dormitories or a reduction in the number of places they occupy, after repairs have been carried out, not only all undergraduate and graduate students, but also non-resident scientific workers can be freely accommodated in the emergency rooms, while observing sanitary standards.

If in an interview dated June 20, 2013, the rector of Moscow State University Sadovnichy also spoke about 15 thousand places (
