And this absolutely self-evident truth is simply not taken into account by almost anyone. Homer said “Greeks and Trojans” - that’s it, there’s nothing to think about.

A person who cannot think, see and understand is not a historian. And so, an unwitting disinformer. A brainless lister of facts in random selections. There is no point in listing the history. History must be understood.

And this is all the more difficult because over time, the political reasons for lying are replaced by psychosocial ones. A person subconsciously needs to feel like he is part of a great whole: a mighty people, great science, a brilliant football team. Just as someone who looks in the mirror makes his face more significant and beautiful in order to look better, so he who looks in the mirror of history “makes himself a good face”! Oh no, little things: let’s turn it a little here, we don’t like this mole - we’ll cover it up, we’ll put our chin out - but this is our real chin!

And then the iron logic and crazy accidents of history disappear - and a meaningless archipelago remains on the surface. And the reader of such a story asks the question: were all these figures fools? Why did they spout nonsense? Didn’t you see what is visible and clear to me? They are not politicians and military leaders, but goats! No, buddy... They simply hid the motives and connections of their actions from you.

Without answers to these eleven questions, history does not exist. For the silence of part of the truth is a lie. And ignorance of the system of causes is stupidity. Don't let yourself be deceived, and don't let yourself be fooled.

1. Never in world history has there occurred an event equal to the Russian Civil War in terms of scale, density, diversity and speed of what happened. For four years, dozens of states arose, merged, divided and collapsed on one sixth of the earth’s land. Dozens of nations gained independence, fought for it with their near and distant neighbors, and lost it again. Dozens political parties organized, entered into alliances, banned each other and disappeared forever. Yesterday's scum of society rose in tens of thousands ruling class, and yesterday’s educated and hard-working people were turned into state slavery and deprived of all rights. Millions fled, millions were destroyed, cruelty took on an unimaginable character, the execution was qualified as an “administrative measure.” The gigantic empire overnight collapsed into insignificance without any influence from external enemies and was immediately restored to its previous size, but as a social experiment that was fantastic in plans and hopes.

As long as the Russians live on earth, they will return again and again to comprehend their bloody and finest hour - their Great Civil War, finding in it more and more reasons for pride in their valor and grief for innocent blood.

Empires pass and peoples disappear, but the roots of greatness stretch from the past and nourish with juices, allowing descendants to hold their heads high. History is immortality.

2. The Civil War was first conceived and planned in 1914. The year was ending, and the great war in Europe was dragging on. (Soon it will be called Great, and after the end it will be called World War II more often, and with the unfolding of World War II it will simultaneously become World War I.) It was then that Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov began to promote the thesis. Forty-four-year-old Lenin was wiry, energetic and irreconcilably asserted his leadership in the party company. The company drank beer in Switzerland, admiring the wonderful scenery, and the leader liked to drink a glass of light beer. And this thesis was this, and a little later Lenin formalized it into an article for the Social Democratic press: “Let us turn the imperialist war into a civil war!” The proletarian must turn his bayonet away from the proletarians of other countries in military uniform- and turn this bayonet against your domestic bourgeoisie! The people were given rifles and organized into an army. ABOUT! This army would be for socialist purposes!

Life in Switzerland was, of course, safe, but boring. And Lenin is already years old, and there is no stake, no yard, and in general nothing has been done. Revolutionaries are always dreamers, especially when they combine security and idleness. And the leader dreamed of how the armed people would follow the course indicated by the Bolsheviks - to destroy the bourgeoisie, owners, exploiters, to socialize everything and create socialism.

And so - for all the warring armies! Against the bourgeoisie of all European countries! It's blazing!

This is a brilliant moment! Capitalism organizes the proletariat, gathers it together, prepares it for independent management of all production and then the state. And imperialism, as the highest stage of capitalism, gathers this proletariat into gigantic armies, disciplines and arms its gravedigger!

Comrades. As Marx rightly pointed out, and Engels argued, and we all understand, socialism must win first in the most industrialized countries, where the most numerous and class-conscious proletariat is. But a general war also provides another opportunity. A military coup becomes at the same time a proletarian, revolutionary coup. The army today is the proletariat! The main thing is to take power! And then it will burst into flames! Let's start with our country.

How nice it would be to start right from Switzerland, comrades!..

Installation for revolution, civil war, the world revolution - was organized in the brains of these revolutionaries, dreamers, lumpen, slackers, fanatics, losers, parasites, ambitious, guardians of the people and justice.

Of course, the ruling class will never give up its positions without a fight, comrades. A capitalist will never give up his goods without fierce resistance. Suppression of resistance is inevitable.

It has many shortcomings. It was written for one reason - I really wanted to read such a book. But she didn't exist.
A lot of work has been done, the list of references used takes fifteen pages. The authors coped with their task so successfully that the mosaic episodes of the bloody confrontation are built into a vivid adventure novel with absolutely fantastic destinies of the main characters. The most amazing thing is that extraordinary events really happened.
The unconditional success of the co-authors includes expressive language and catchy presentation historical facts. The absolute cynicism and treacherous meanness of the Bolshevik leaders is clearly illustrated by the facts.
Everything is subordinated to the main goal. This is the genius of a major politician.

In my opinion, this study would have sounded even louder if the authors had fairly assessed the results October Revolution in Russia for the whole world. If Russia itself has lost a huge part of the population (the best - the elite of the people), lost territories, lost the core, the backbone of the national Russian idea, then the rest of the world should be grateful to the Russians and Russia for the fact that with their crazy experiment the proletarians forced the capitalists to reckon with them.

It was the consequences of the Russian revolution that gave a powerful impetus to the trade union movement, the destruction of colonial regimes, social guarantees for workers, and a more just order of life in the rest of the world. Simply, the capitalists began to look at their workers with caution, stopped deceiving them so brazenly, and rob them a little less.

The reader learns many interesting facts.

For example: Trotsky personally wrote the text of the oath: “I, the son of the working people...”, which young people take in an almost unchanged form. Russian Army and today!

What exactly was Lenin’s ultimatum to Ukraine about giving up its independence and recognizing the Council of People’s Commissars, plus the subsequent punitive forces that pushed Ukraine during the Brest-Litovsk surrender into the arms of the Germans! (Terrible Soviet historical secret!)

Trotsky, a brilliant organizer, introduced the hostage system, forcing officers to fight in the Red Army to save their families. And the commissars looked after the officers (responsible for them with their heads). The family of such an officer is given rations (and there is hunger in the country). And where should the officer go? By the end of the Civil War in the R.K.K.A. it was 75,000 former officers. Of all 130,000 available in the Russian Army in the spring of 1917.
And in the White Army - 30,000. This is the ratio.

The Bolsheviks intercepted the slogans of other parties.
The slogan “Land for the peasants” is a Socialist Revolutionary slogan. "Peace to the Nations" - anarchists. “All power to the Soviets” is the slogan of the Mensheviks. The right of nations to self-determination was defended by the cadets. But the Bolsheviks passed them off as their own in order to seize power!
In April 1917 there were only 40 thousand of them. In September – already 500 thousand.

Throughout the Civil War, in 1917, 1918, 1919, 1920, there was enough bread in Russia! There has NEVER been famine in ANY of the territories of the white states of Russia. There was no famine in the territory of gangs, peasant armies, or foreign military units. NOWHERE.
During the Civil War, famine occurred ONLY in the territory controlled by the Bolsheviks. He appeared wherever they appeared and disappeared wherever they left. If the Bolsheviks wanted this, they would have eliminated the famine. It was necessary to artificially split Russian village into two opposing classes, the poor and the rich.
The Bolsheviks tried to benefit from the famine in 1921. While accepting help from foreigners, the RSFSR simultaneously sold grain for export.
Having learned about this, the Americans stopped helping.

Military mercenaries were recruited - Latvian riflemen.
They were paid well - 10, then 15 rubles a day. The “Corps of Latvian Riflemen” numbering 30 thousand people was formed. Then the size of the corps increased - the service turned out to be feeding. In 1919, 55% of the employees of the central apparatus of the Cheka were Latvians. You can remember the legendary deputy chairman of the Cheka M. Latsis, and there were also Peters, and Petrovs, and Berzin, and Shulburg... But the last one was a Latvian German. There were also Latvians in the Cheka - Stahlberg, Vickers and others.

Entire groups of the population were exterminated.
In 1919, Moscow considered that the Boy Scouts were a counter-revolutionary organization. And several hundred Boy Scouts, from 12 to 16 years old, were shot. They were not tortured - it was already obvious that none of them did or plotted anything against the authorities. They were simply superfluous in the new world.

Rallies and strikes are taking place in France, Italy, Belgium, Britain
In Bulgaria, the Valdai Uprising of 1918 marked the beginning of de facto dual power.
In Austria, city councils started a war with rural councils - they carried out surplus appropriation. Only in 1920 were the Soviets dispersed.
In Czechoslovakia and Poland, councils operated in 1920.
There was uprising after uprising in Ireland.
For a short time, Soviet power was established in Hungary.
In Bavaria, in April 1919, the Soviet Republic was organized. The leadership of the Bavarian Republic was dominated by Axelrod, a native of Poland, the anarchist ideologist Landauer, and Ernst Toller.
The head of the BSR, Eugen Levin, a Russian Jew by origin, born in St. Petersburg, was shot by a court-martial. It is probably not for nothing that many figures White movement Russia was told that the Civil War was a war between Russians and Jews...

The main problem of this time was that the urban intelligentsia in Russia did not feel dear relatives in the peasants; the city militias behaved as if in an occupied wild country. Those peasants who rebelled against Soviet power, poisoned with suffocating poisonous gases. Near the village of Pakhotny Ugol alone in the Tambov province (during the suppression of the “Antonovschina” by Tukhachevsky’s troops), 7,000 peasants were killed with gases, including women and children hiding in the forest. Entire villages were completely destroyed. The number of exterminated peasants in the Tambov province is about 150 thousand people. After which the Tambov province was abolished and again created as the Tambov region in 1937: three times smaller than the previous one.

The property of the North-Western Army remained on the territory of Estonia: food warehouses, thousands of wagons loaded with military equipment and 26 locomotives. The army itself could go anywhere without bothering the Estonians at all. But the Estonians took over everything. They did not give away a single locomotive or set of uniforms. All Yudenich's telegrams to the allies were delayed by the Estonians. Then the Estonians arrested Yudenich and wanted to extradite him to the Soviet Republic. When the carriage with Yudenich and his family was already rolling towards the Soviet border, fellow soldiers intervened.

Why did whites lose this war?
There is only one answer: because the whites did not have a single powerful idea. They had nothing to say to 90% of the Russian population. The whites did not have an idea for EVERYONE. But the whites had an idea for THEMSELVES. It was the idea of preserving and continuing Russia. The only question is, which Russia? Russia Russian Europeans. Russia's educated stratum, which in 1917 numbered at most 4-5 million people. Almost the same number of Russian natives were ready to enter this layer and accept its ideas as their own. For these 7-8 million out of 140, it was obvious what exactly should be preserved and why.
They wanted to preserve the cozy Russia of the intelligentsia, emerging from the pages of Bulgakov and Pasternak. This is a very nice Russia, but 90% of the then population of the former Russian Empire have nothing to do with her.
They will not fight and die for the idea of preserving it.
There are simply few whites, a few tens of thousands of combat-ready men throughout colossal Russia. In addition, they constantly squabbled among themselves.

The Civil War revealed the most difficult problem in Russia: the socio-cultural gap between the people and the intelligentsia, which arose after the reforms of Peter the Great and for two centuries was the greatest social evil of Russian life. The people looked at the intelligentsia almost as foreigners, or, in any case, as “bosses.” This gap was not only domestic and psychological, but also legal.

So why did the Reds win?
They had an idea!
Grandiose! Perhaps this is the most ambitious idea in the entire history of mankind. They had a reason to torture, torture, force themselves to make any efforts and extra efforts. After all, they built new world, a new Universe where everything will be different than today.
It made sense for them to force others to fight for this idea of a just Heaven on Earth.
The idea directly allowed people to lie, invent, and manipulate. It allowed on its own – that’s the idea. In the name of SUCH an idea, one could tell a big lie and enter into an alliance with the devil himself.

Leon Trotsky frankly said: “To win the Civil War, we robbed Russia.”
They were not afraid to destroy Russia, because their homeland is the whole world!
But as a result, under the Bolsheviks, Russia reached the peak of its power as a state.

RUSSIA BURNED

Chapter 1. Who wanted what?

Interim Committee State Duma formed mainly by liberals and liberal-conservatives: Octobrists and Cadets. Who are they?

After the publication of the Tsar’s Manifesto on October 17, 1905, some of the right-wing figures in the zemstvo movement decided that Russia already had a constitution. The “Union of October 17” united that part of the bourgeoisie and specialists who were able to find a worthy place for themselves in the Russian Empire.

The Octobrists were professors L. N. Benois and F. N. Plevako, entrepreneurs E. L. Nobel, brothers V. P. and P. P. Ryabushinsky, court jeweler K. G. Faberge, public figures Count P. A. Heyden and Prince N. S. Volkonsky.

Advocating for limiting the monarchy, the Octobrists categorically protested against the introduction of a parliamentary system in Russia. Let there be some kind of “popular representation” - but so that the power of the monarch is preserved, so that not a single law can be passed without the sanction of the king.

Chapter 2. Predetermination of the Civil War

Having lost their state, Russians instantly scattered among classes, groups, places of residence, nationalities, classes and parties. The villager did not want to understand the urban one, the “proletarian” did not want to understand the intellectual, the military man did not want to understand the civilian, the Siberian did not want to understand the Muscovite, the Latvian did not want to understand the Tatar.

Diagnosis: Russian society turned out to be much more fragmented, consisting of many cells, than it was thought before the Cataclysm.

Many parties and parties of the beautiful Russian intelligentsia chattered and chatted continuously, as if enjoying the sounds of their own voices. This irresponsible public either wanted to realize their utopias, or just chat - but in any case, they rocked an already dangerously tilted boat.

As a result, each government body was torn apart by party and group squabbles among the Cadets, right and left Socialist Revolutionaries, Trudoviks, Mensheviks, local nationalists and anarchists.

Chapter 3. Why did they need the Civil War?

Many slogans that are considered Bolshevik were in fact intercepted by the Bolsheviks from the Socialist Revolutionaries, anarchists, Mensheviks, even the Cadets.

The slogan “Land for the peasants” is a Socialist Revolutionary slogan.

“Peace to the nations” is the slogan of the anarchists. The Bolsheviks took it over and propagandized it more than the anarchists themselves.

“All power to the Soviets” - the slogan was originally put forward by the St. Petersburg Mensheviks.

Chapter 4. When did the Civil War begin?

The Bolsheviks made their first attempts to seize power on June 9, 1917. They called on the “popular masses” to demonstrate with the slogan “All power to the Soviets!” The Bolsheviks planned on June 10 to go out with a large demonstration to the Mariinsky Palace - the Provisional Government was meeting there. It was supposed to call ministers out of the building to “communicate with the people,” and special groups of people were supposed to yell and whistle, expressing “popular anger” and warming up the crowd.

If events developed favorably, it was planned to immediately arrest the Provisional Government. Of course, “The capital had to react to this immediately. And depending on this reaction, the Bolshevik Central Committee... had to declare itself the power.”

What if there is resistance? The provisional government has been arrested, and there are demonstrations demanding “let go!” What if military units loyal to the government take up arms in defense of the government? Such resistance was supposed to be “suppressed by the force of Bolshevik regiments and guns.”

Here it is, the Civil War...

Chapter 5. Constituent Assembly

The Winter Palace is taken. The Provisional Government no longer exists, its members have been arrested. The Bolsheviks won in Moscow.

There is a wonderful national slogan for reconciliation: Constituent Assembly. Since 1903 the idea Constituent Assembly included in the program documents of the Cadets, the Socialist Revolutionaries, and the Social Democrats. Almost everyone agrees with her. It can really unite divided Russians.

But the Bolsheviks did not want the Constituent Assembly, and it is clear why. In the elections held on November 12, 1917, the Bolsheviks received 22.9% of the votes. Despite the fact that the Socialist Revolutionaries received 40.6%, the Mensheviks - 2.8%, others socialist parties on the national outskirts - 15%. National non-socialist parties - 8%, Cadets - 4.6%, confessions, cooperatives, regional Cossacks, right-wing parties - 6.1%.

In Moscow and Petrograd, the Bolsheviks received up to 30% of the votes, and the Cadets came in second place. In all national regions, local national parties were in the lead.

Civil History of the Mad War

A short course in the civil history of the mad war

History is a scroll of secrets retold by a fool over a broken telephone. History is usually presented as a sequence of important events. At the same time, the logic and psychology of the internal process of these events is usually not taken into account - it remains outside the scope, is outside the interests of the historian. As a result, the historian often cannot distinguish the most important events from the ordinary ones. As a result, the reader receives the label “Horseradish in marinade.”

And this is all the more difficult because over time, the political reasons for lying are replaced by psychosocial ones. A person subconsciously needs to feel like he is part of a great whole: a powerful people, a great science, a brilliant football team. Just as someone who looks in the mirror makes his face more significant and beautiful in order to look better, so he who looks in the mirror of history “makes himself a good face”! Oh no, little things: let’s turn it a little here, we don’t like this mole - we’ll cover it up, we’ll put our chin out - but this is our real chin!

1. Never in world history has there occurred an event equal to the Russian Civil War in terms of scale, density, diversity and speed of what happened. For four years, dozens of states arose, merged, divided and collapsed on one sixth of the earth’s land. Dozens of nations gained independence, fought for it with their near and distant neighbors, and lost it again. Dozens of political parties organized themselves, entered into alliances, banned each other, and disappeared forever. Yesterday's scum of society in tens of thousands ascended to the ruling class, and yesterday's educated and hard-working people were turned into state slavery and deprived of all rights. Millions fled, millions were destroyed, cruelty took on an unimaginable character, the execution was qualified as an “administrative measure.” The gigantic empire overnight collapsed into insignificance without any influence from external enemies and was immediately restored to its previous size, but as a social experiment that was fantastic in plans and hopes.

Empires pass and peoples disappear, but the roots of greatness stretch from the past and nourish with juices, allowing descendants to hold their heads high. History is immortality.

2. The Civil War was first conceived and planned in 1914. The year was ending, and the great war in Europe was dragging on. (Soon it will be called Great, and after the end it will be called World War II more often, and with the unfolding of World War II it will simultaneously become World War I.) It was then that Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov began to promote the thesis. Forty-four-year-old Lenin was wiry, energetic and irreconcilably asserted his leadership in the party company. The company drank beer in Switzerland, admiring the wonderful scenery, and the leader liked to drink a glass of light beer. And this thesis was this, and a little later Lenin formalized it into an article for the Social Democratic press: “Let us turn the imperialist war into a civil war!” The proletarian must turn his bayonet away from the proletarians of other countries in military uniform - and turn this bayonet against his domestic bourgeoisie! The people were given rifles and organized into an army. ABOUT! This army would be for socialist purposes!

And so - for all the warring armies! Against the bourgeoisie of all European countries! It's blazing!

How nice it would be to start right from Switzerland, comrades!..

The mindset for a coup, a civil war, a world revolution - was arranged in the brains of these revolutionaries, dreamers, lumpen, slackers, fanatics, losers, parasites, ambitious, guardians of the people and justice.

Of course, the ruling class will never give up its positions without a fight, comrades. A capitalist will never give up his goods without fierce resistance. Suppression of resistance is inevitable.
